With our homes being our ultimate sanctuaries, it’s never been more important to create calm, cosy and peaceful places of rest in our bedrooms. There is a spectrum of colours to pick from, this post will be sharing 4 colours you can consider going for when picking calming colours for your bedroom that will help you to truly relax.

Blue

Blue being the popular colour that it is, it’s ideal for bedrooms no matter the shade, the lighter you go it will create a calming, serene and mentally soothing space. And the more saturated the colour it will be very mentally stimulating so if you have a home office set up in the bedroom the darker shade might be ideal as it helps with concentration.

Brown

Whether done in a darker or lighter shade brown is a neutral colour that makes us feel safe and reassured as it is the colour of the earth and wood.

Green

The colour green is also a great option when creating a calm and peaceful space, this colour is a restful & harmonious therefore encouraging calm & rest.

White

Another neutral colour, white gives a feeling of peace and quiet, simplicity and clarity. I recommend leaning towards warm whites as opposed to colder whites that could easily make a space feel sterile.
